Protective Gear for Your Existing Instruments

Our new DSC Series Bags provide the ultimate in protective soft side case options. These deluxe soft cases are made with 30mm of padding. We spoke to a number of our Friends of Ohana for their input on these bags, and have included a ‘cell phone’ pocket with netting for small items, and a larger pocket at the lower bout of the bag for larger items — like tablets or a notebook.

Gifts for the Uninitiated

Our passion is providing instruments that sound great, play comfortably, and don’t break the bank. Why not introduce your loved ones to the ukulele with some of our great options tailored for the beginner?

Our Starter Packs include everything you need to begin your musical journey. Available in soprano or concert scale, this line comes in a variety of our entry level models sure to suit any taste. You’ll be able to play anywhere you’d like with the included strap and quality carrying bag.

Another great option is our DIY Kit. Each one is an unfinished ukulele perfect for personalizing and unleashing your creativity.  Once decorated and finished, put this instrument together with the included gear. Voila! A personalized, playable instrument that’s uniquely you!

The Ohana Shakerlele® is another great way to bring the love of music to those new to the uke. We dialed in ‘just the right amount’ of weight with Grammy winner Daniel Ho.

These solid spruce and mahogany percussive instruments are portable, and easy to get the hang of— check out WGN host Ana Belaval rocking out with the Shakerlele® at Aloha City Ukes!

And no list of student ukuleles would be complete without our collaboration with artist Cynthia Lin! The CK-14CL is made to Cynthia’s specifications for her students. Laminate mahogany is paired with Worth strings and Grover geared tuners for the ultimate student uke. Cynthia’s signature crowns the headstock, with a floral inlay at the 14th fret.

Which “List” Did You Make?

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year, be sure to check out our newest models. These sweet ukes all boast a little something extra and are sure to please under the tree.

The CK-150QEL is a gorgeous instrument and best of both worlds— lovely thanks to the quilted eucalyptus and sturdy due to the laminate build. We’ve carried over the dark hardwood binding from its all solid 450 sister, with a simpler black/white purfling and faux comfort edge. A wood and abalone inlay completes the rosette for this model— a perfect pairing for the gold and platinum hues of the eucalyptus. Grover geared tuners make getting to pitch a breeze, paired with black buttons to contrast the headstock veneer. This little beauty will delight this holiday season.

One of our “baddest” new models is the Bari-Tenor, our BKT-70G. Sporting a tenor scale paired with a baritone body, this instrument is all about rich, big sound. A solid spruce top keeps things bright and clear while maintaining the bassier tones.

Friend of Ohana, Ken Middleton, helps explain why this allows for an accessible and popular instrument: “Not only does the BKT-70G look classy, it also solves the problem for players who favor the tone of a baritone instrument yet prefer to play in the traditional GCEA tuning.”

Our Ohana Tiny Ukes are a great option for anyone on your list. Take them hiking, on your next trip or bike to the beach and play. Our Tiny Ukes are wonderfully responsive instruments ideal to take you wherever the music leads.

We Heard You’d Been Extra Good this Year

One of our original limited edition models, the -75CG series continues to dazzle players with its acoustic projection. This all solid in spruce and flamed maple features a Florentine cutaway, more dramatic and sharper than typical. Abalone decorates this elaborate model finished in high gloss. What a stunner!

Our all solid koa models are a study in superior quality koa, high gloss finish and beautiful abalone inlays. Choose from the -350G with classic abalone purfling or the -370G with additional inlay work up the fretboard. Don’t leave yourself out on a wire— check one out at your local dealer! We work with the best in ethical sourcing of these amazing trees, ensuring they continue to grace Hawaii’s islands for generations to come.

From our Ohana to yours, have a very happy holiday surrounded by people you love and good music! Mele Kalikimaka!
