Fresh from NAMM 2020, Ohana is excited to debut our latest pineapple confection, the Tenor Pineapples! Available in all-solid builds featuring mahogany and spruce soundboards, these sweet acoustic treats will be a coveted addition to your ukulele collection.
Our pineapple collection started in the classic soprano scale, and then expanded to include several concert scale instruments (PKC), as well as our lovable Tiny (TPK) and Teeny Tiny (TTPK) versions. We’re excited to expand the family into tenor scale and find that it sounds as excellent as and has all the visual appeal of existing models in the series!
Avid Ohana fans know that we love the pineapple shape at our HQ in Long Beach, CA. The ‘open floor plan’ of the pineapple shape body allows for unencumbered projection. When applied to the tenor size body and scale, that means we get a big, juicy sound from these sweet models.
We’ve been working on getting these models just right for years, and know you’ll enjoy playing them every bit as much as we enjoyed designing them!

When deciding which of our coveted pineapple builds would make the jump to tenor, the -25G series was an easy choice -- the PK-25G soprano ukulele was our first foray into this unique shape. This ukulele boasts an all solid build in mahogany, for a mellow, warm, and organic sound that will complement vocalists beautifully and will become more rich in sound over time. We’ve carried over the ‘crown’ headstock for more of that island feel, and finished this instrument in high gloss with Grover geared tuners and black buttons.

From the Teeny Tiny to Tenor, our -70G series pineapples are gorgeous aesthetically and acoustically. Solid Spruce lends brightness and projection to the full tone provided by the pineapple-shaped body. We balance that brilliance with solid mahogany back and sides to lend warmth.
Ready for that close-up!
This ‘blinged out’ PKT-70G features all the great details that make this series one of our most popular. Mahogany binding joins the body of the ukulele for a clean and polished look. We’ve chosen to add further visual interest with abalone inlay at the purfling and headstock. This gorgeous uke is finished in high gloss with butterbean style Grover geared tuners.
