Ohana has included ukuleles inspired by vintage models since our inception in 2006.  The latest addition to our Vintage Series and -39 series is the new Ohana SK-390 soprano ukulele in glorious all-solid Hawaiian Koa. First introduced at NAMM 2018, the Ohana SK-390 features all-solid Hawaiian Koa with Maple binding and aesthetic touches. Inspired by the popular Martin Style 3 ukulele first made in 1919, this soprano also features the 7 ply-black/white racing line down the fretboard and purfling.

"We decided to do a limited run of the SK-390, based on the immense popularity of our -39 series. The satin, vintage-inspired finish allows for great sustain and tone, while the solid koa keeps its voice very melodic and pleasing to the ear."

- Louis Wu

During the process of remaking these vintage instruments, we strive to create a ukulele as close to the original specifications as we can. Our hope is that through these instruments, we have an opportunity to appreciate the significance of the invention, craft, and workmanship from these makers, and to pay tribute to them for what they had done for us in the music world.

Expected arrival in March 2018.
