When designing the ukuleles that comprise our Performance Series, we wanted to marry the most sought after components from you, the player. We hope you love making music with these instruments, as much as we loved designing these special ukes!

" I was really impressed by the great balance the TK & BK-70R expressed in their tone. It was a no-brainer to add some more CITES-friendly options in Mahogany (-70M) and Walnut (-70W) to the Performance Series for our international customers. The satin finish feels soft and photographs well for artist shots, too. "

Our quest for creating the Performance Series started with a nice solid Spruce top. You’ll find we’ve sourced a premium cut of Spruce for these ukes, with straight graining and a bit of natural flame. This premium Spruce gives our ukulele a fantastic ability to project even without a mic or amp to ensure you are heard over the audience.

According to our test group of professional artists, the slotted headstock allows for “reduced wind resistance when spinning on stage.”

A simplified Ohana “O” logo crowns open geared tuners and cream pegs on a slotted headstock. Side markers indicate frets 5, 7, 10 & 12 to ensure you hit all the right notes on stage, especially when your amp is turned to eleven.

An elegant abalone rosette tightlined in black and white gives the top a touch of flash without being overbearing. Cream binding brings Mahogany (-70M), Walnut (-70W), or Rosewood (-70R) back and sides flush with the solid Spruce top. The satin finish feels smooth while playing up the neck, and allows these models to really sing on stage.
