Ohana Fretless Bass OBU-22FL Spruce and Mahogany

Ohana’s fretless acoustic compact bass!

The Ohana fretless bass is the fretless version of the OBU-22. Without the presence of the raised fret wires on the fretboard, a player must be very precise in finger positions in order to generate notes that are perfectly in tune. This also means that a player needs to apply more pressure when pressing on the fretboard for each note than on a fretted instrument. A fretless instrument, on the other hand, allows for a smooth slide from one note to another to create the tonal freedom that is not possible with a fretted bass.

Also available is a fretless version but with marks as the OBU-22FLM, for those that prefer no frets but still need a visual cue.

* Left handed version also available as OBU-22FL-LH*
